Sep.
That abbreviation makes the Baby Binah cry.
I suppose that abbreviation has been around forever and I just haven't really noticed. I can be amazingly oblivious at times. To my credit, it's only taken me 35 years to notice it. ;D
Not that it’s wrong or anything, I suppose. I'd like to claim it’s wrong, just on personal aesthetic grounds if nothing else. I greatly prefer Sept. Sept. just feels right to me. I've snagged one of the new LJ layouts and due to how it writes dates, the "Sep" just jumped out at me like a mostly dead bird behind the couch. (I'll explain THAT later. And yes, it's Jack related.)
Ponders...
Jan., Feb., Mar., Apr., May, Jun., Jul., Aug., Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec.
or more amusingly...
Janu., Febr., Marc., Apri., May_., June., July., Augu., Sept., Octo., Nove., Dece.
I guess I'm being unreasonable here. Though for consistency's sake, I generally don't bother to abbreviate June or July either. However, Jun. and Jul. don't make me want to mentally flinch.
I think it may be time for the Knight to hit me with the rubber chicken. *looks around shiftily*
