A serious moment for Anna Nicole

Normally, I am honestly not swayed by celebrity death. Abe Vigoda, dead or alive? Meh. I don't know any of these people personally, and therefore I don't feel their deaths personally. Perhaps one celebrity death in twenty will get an "aww" out of me, but that's about it.

I'm beginning to think I'm swayed much more by pity. And today, I feel real pity for an woman I usually consider ridiculous. Anna Nicole Smith.,26334,1533524,00.html

Daniel Smith, the 20-year-old son of Anna Nicole Smith, died suddenly in the Bahamas on Sunday, three days after the former Playboy Playmate gave birth to a girl, according to a statement from Smith's attorney.

It doesn't matter how her son died (the article doesn't say, though indicates it wasn't drug or alcohol-related). It doesn't matter that she just had another child. I'm not even a mother, but I feel for Anna Nicole Smith. That's a fate I don't think I'd wish on anybody.
