Yes, we still do that. Make goo-goo eyes, I mean. ;-) We hold hands in public. We hug in grocery stores and parking lots. We say "I love you" on a daily basis. Even though we have lived together more than 2 1/2 years, we still seem like newlywed types. At least it seems like that to us because neither of us had parents that were affectionate with each other. I never saw my parents tell each other they loved each other, or ask for a hug before one of them left the house. They never did anything together. His parents didn't sleep in the same bed, and he doesn't think they liked each other very much.
I've only seen it once, but there is an offensive eHarmony commercial that basically makes it sound like if you're single, you must be a lonely and sad person. I hate this commercial because I don't think there is anything wrong with being single or that the single life is somehow empty.
I only mention this commercial because despite how it irritated me, one of the "testimonial" folks described our marriage pretty well. She said, "Being married is like having a sleep-over with your best friend every night."
Anyway, we are at almost at the one year mark of matrimony and going strong. I'm sure to get mushy again this week, but that's all for today.
