Fox News airs altered photos of NY Times reporters


Summary:
During a segment in which Fox & Friends co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade labeled New York Times reporter Jacques Steinberg and editor Steven Reddicliffe "attack dogs," Fox News featured photos of Steinberg and Reddicliffe that appeared to have been digitally altered -- the journalists' teeth had been yellowed, their facial features exaggerated, and portions of Reddicliffe's hair moved further back on his head.

Is that even legal? Does that violate some FCC regulation? I was shocked when I read about this. I know it's Faux News, but still...

Honestly, how juvenile is that? All sarcasm aside, I thought Fox viewed itself as a reputable news source. This is worse that calling Michelle Obama a "baby mama". I can imagine that somebody thought they were being cute, rather than offensive. I figured it was just a serious lapse in judgment. Not exactly a moment of malice.

But this? No such luck. This is mean spirited, petty and stupid. And they got caught *this* time. How many times have they done it? Faux Noise just confirmed to me everything that liberals said about it.
