Four more years?

Ass? Are you for real?

Taken from Salon's War Room:
Have Americans given up on their president?

We found ourselves at an elementary school father-daughter dance the other day, and we realized -- in a way we never had before -- just how oppressive repeated playings of that limbo song can be. "Limbo lower now ... Limbo lower now ... How low can you go?"

So we're sorry, Mr. President. We feel your pain. And we won't ever write another "How low can he go?" headline again.

But really, sir, how low can you go?

Two new polls gauge the president's popularity with the American people, and they show that his free fall is continuing. A new NBC News poll puts George W. Bush's approval rating at 37 percent, the lowest ever for his presidency, and pollster Peter Hart declares that the president is "losing his grip on governance" as Americans begin to conclude that they've "seen the best he's going to produce."

The results in the new Pew Research Center poll are similarly grim: Only 33 percent of that poll's respondents say they approve of the job Bush is doing in office, an all-time low for that poll, too. Pew asked voters to say what word comes to mind when they think of Bush. The top 10 responses: "incompetent, " "good," "idiot," "liar," "Christian," "honest," "arrogant, " "strong," "integrity" and "ass."

That's a tough list to beat, but Bush has time -- two years, 10 months and six days, to be exact, but who's counting?

Italicizing and bolding are mine. Ass? Sure that's what *I* think of him, but that it would appear on a top ten list of adjectives describing Dubya? I find that astounding and funny as hell.

And yeah, I realize the icon is a bit out of date. I always liked it anyway.
