Overall, the trip went well despite the notably low points of the drive to and from SA. Cliff has sworn that he will never ride down to SA in the same car as my parents. I can't blame him. I'm not up to repeating that experience myself. Though Cliff finally saw up close and personal the childish behavior that my parents are capable of. He even saw me scold them in public. I always told him that my parents make an effort to behave themselves in front of him. Ahh, but driving to SA had them in too close quarters for too long. I think he understands my less than worshipful attitude towards them much better now.
Visiting with the relatives was good. And having dinner with Sybil was fun! Too bad we didn't get to spend more time together, but she had had a rough day and poor Cliff was yawning at the end of dinner. Poor things. Car shopping can bite the big one, and Cliff was bombarded with a gazillion people to meet him.
That's it for now, but I have more to say 'bout the trip.
