However, I definitely share the other problems and causes of America's expanding waistline. Portion control! I have very little, control that it, not little portions! I'll snack when bored. All those little detrimental ingrained eating habits that add up to a lot, a lot, a lot. I don't cook as healthily as I should. And of course, I lead a sedate lifestyle. I sit in front of a computer all day at work and basically do the same at home. It doesn't matter what you eat, if you eat a lot of it and do very little exercise.
Fast food places I've eaten at in the last year and what I ate.
Taco Bell - 2 Chalupas with a crispy taco on the side. <--no regrets 'cause it kicked ass.
Church's - Fried Chicken Family Meal with cole slaw, corn, biscuits & mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes are lame and as much as I like fried chicken, after a piece or two I don't want to even smell it.
Subway - 6" Turkey sub with Baked Doritos (nacho cheese) I hardly think of Subway as fast food. It's probably healthier than my own cooking.
Chick-fil-A - Chicken sandwich with waffle fries. Waffle fries are way better than regular fries.
Sonic - Bacon Cheeseburger meal with Tater Tots. Tots-new hotness. Fries-old & busted (MIB2 ref) Though I gotta say that about 30 minutes after a burger, I tend to regret it.
Jack in the Box - Spicy Chicken sandwich with spicy fries. Fast food spicy is good. Too bad the food is so bad for you! Though as the occasional treat, I think one can indulge.
KFC - Family Meal, original recipe. Hmm, I think I may have had hot wings sometime in the last year. I like hot wings. See, more of the fast food spicy goodness! I think I don't like original recipe anymore. So salty and soft. Bleh.
Well, dang. When you add it up, it looks like a lot! And no salads to speak of! I know that I went to Subway at least a couple of times and we did Churches for dinner at least 3 times over the last year. Hmm, I think we may have ordered a pizza sometime. Possibly Domino's, but that's rare as Cliff isn't much of a pizza fan.
